Ombré brows is a cosmetic tattooing technique using a tool and pigment to create a natural but defined powdery looking brow. Ombre is the look of more saturated tails fading out lighter through the fronts of the brows. It’s perfect for people who have sparse, uneven or thin brows. This technique lasts from 6-18 months after the initial session.
At Marla Kent brows we use carbon based pigments which are designed to be non reactive and safe to use on every skin type, we select the colour with the client to ensure it compliments their hair, eyes and skin tone to achieve the clients desired results. We then draw the shape of your tattoo working together with the client to ensure they’re 100% happy before we tattoo.

AFTERCARE
Aftercare is extremely important when it comes to cosmetic tattoo a lot of your result will depend on how well you follow these aftercare steps
IMPORTANT 5
- Do not get any makeup or skincare on your tattoo for at least 5 days
- Do not get your tattoo wet for 5 days
- Avoid sweating/ high intensity exercise for 5 days
- Do not touch your tattoo directly with your fingers for 5 days to reduce risk of infection (remember the tattoo is classed as a wound)
- You need to gently wipe your tattoo with a damp clean cotton pad every hour for the first day, then 5 times a day for the next 48 hours, after 48 hours you apply a pea size amount of aftercare cream with a cotton tip morning and night for 5 days
WHAT TO EXPECT
- your tattoo will weap a yellowish fluid for the first 24-48 hours (this is what you need to wipe away to keep the tattoo dry)
- Most people will experience scabbing of the brows around the 5 day mark ending at around the 10 day mark (it will look like your brows are crusting off but this is all normal) do not pick off the scabs (this will pull out the pigment) you need to let them fall off naturally
- The tattoo will look much darker within the first 48 hours (this is temporary)
- You make have a headache the night of your treatment (Panadol or nurophen is fine to have post treatment)
- Your tattoo might shrink around 2mm during the healing process
- Your tattoo will fade up to 80% by the end of the first two weeks before the pigment resurfaces into your final result
- Your tattoo might becomes itchy while it’s healing (do not scratch)
- Your tattoo might become uneven or happy during the healing process ( your can correct this with a brow powder or pencil after the 2 week make before your 4-6 week touch up (remember this is a 2 step process colour, shape, gaps, thickness and fullness can be adjusted in your touch up session)
